A seasoned entertainment industry lawyer whose practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property and entertainment and media law. Her legal experience extends to the development, production and distribution of television and motion picture productions, multimedia and software development and distribution, videogames and eSports, book publishing, recorded music projects, fine arts representations and theatre productions. She advises clients on their own day-to-day operations and intellectual property matters including copyrights, licensing and agreements, global IP strategies and litigation.
Attended Universidad Europea of Madrid, where she graduated in Law and General Business Administration. In addition, she holds an Official Master Degree in Intellectual Property from Universidad Pontificia Comillas of Madrid (ICADE). She joined DA Lawyers in 2017 after practicing law in Suárez de la Dehesa from 2009 until 2017, a boutique law firm specialized in Entertainment and Media Law in Madrid. Cristina also was a summer legal intern during her last years of law school in an international law firm and in an advertising company in Los Angeles.
Regular lecturer in Intellectual Property Masters at prestigious universities such as Universidad Pontificia Comillas of Madrid (ICADE) and Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, particularly, on relevant topics within the fields of production contract management and IP law. She also participates in several specialized forums of entrepreneurs in the video game and eSports sector. Several articles published in the professional and business press. Member of the Madrid Bar Associattion and DENAE (Spanish Association of Entertainment Law).
Besides her native language Spanish, Cristina is fluent in English.
