Jan Havel from act legal Czech Republic spoke at the All for Power conference

Jan Havel, partner of act Řanda Havel Legal, took part in 15th international expert conference and exhibition focused on power investment units all for power 2021. Jan gave a paper on BAT and BREF for large combustion plants (LCP) in a part dedicated to the investment plans  on upgrade of existing conventional  power plants  and district heating  plants. Further, he spoke about reviewing of integrated permits based on the Commission Decision on BAT Conclusions for LCP and also about legal conditions for granting an exception from BAT.

The conference took place on 15th and 16th November 2021 in hotel Clarion Congress Hotel Prague where more than 40 lecturing experts spoke about topics connected with power investment units. Speakers  focused especially on nuclear and conventional power plants, district heating plants, development of Czech and Slovak power sector in the worldwide context and export of the investment units.

Jan Havel spoke at DISTRICT HEATING AND ENERGY DAYS 2021

Mgr. Ing. Jan Havel, an expert in Energy law and a Senior Partner at act legal Czech Republic (act Řanda Havel Legal), spoke at the 27th edition of the conference with accompanying exhibition The District Heating and Energy Days that was hold in Olomouc on September 14th – 15th 2021.

Jan Havel presented his contribution „New Legislation of Disconnection from the District Heating Supplies System: Can district heating plants still (manage to)defend themselves against disconnection? “. He followed up on his last year’s contribution about the study on Building Authorities Practice in Decisions on Applications of Disconnection from the District Heating Supplies System. Jan Havel focused on new legal rules for disconnection from the district heating supplies system which become effective in part from January 1, 2022 and in part from July 1, 2023. 

Further, the conference participants met the hottest novelties, innovations and other attractive topics induced by the turbulent development in the Czech and European energetics. This important event welcomed representatives of district heating plants, technological companies, municipalities, housing co-operatives or association of owners.
