Lenka Droscová named a Partner of act legal Czech Republic

Lenka Droscová was named a partner of act legal Czech Republic (act ŘANDA HAVEL LEGAL) on 1 January 2022. In addition to being a member of Czech Bar Association, Lenka is a member of the State Bar of California, USA.

Lenka Droscová has extensive experience with preparing and negotiating labour law documentation including in particular individual labour law contracts, termination and remuneration documents as well as internal employer’s regulations and collective bargaining agreements. She provides consultations on all day-to-day labour law matters as well as more on specific issues with special focus on transfer of rights and obligations arising out form labour law relations, agency employment and specific issues connected with employment of managers (such as non-compete clauses and other restrictive covenants).

Lenka Droscová also provides legal services in area of immigration law. She focuses on secondment of Czech employees abroad including social security and health insurance issues connected with the secondment. She has also extensive experience with assignment of foreigners (both EU and non EU citizens) into the Czech Republic, when she in particular assists clients with obtaining relevant work and residency permits, preparing assignment documentation and advises on social security and health insurance issues connected with the assignment.

Jan Havel from act legal Czech Republic spoke at the All for Power conference

Jan Havel, partner of act Řanda Havel Legal, took part in 15th international expert conference and exhibition focused on power investment units all for power 2021. Jan gave a paper on BAT and BREF for large combustion plants (LCP) in a part dedicated to the investment plans  on upgrade of existing conventional  power plants  and district heating  plants. Further, he spoke about reviewing of integrated permits based on the Commission Decision on BAT Conclusions for LCP and also about legal conditions for granting an exception from BAT.

The conference took place on 15th and 16th November 2021 in hotel Clarion Congress Hotel Prague where more than 40 lecturing experts spoke about topics connected with power investment units. Speakers  focused especially on nuclear and conventional power plants, district heating plants, development of Czech and Slovak power sector in the worldwide context and export of the investment units.

Martin Řanda, Jan Havel and Tomáš Rydvan from act legal Czech Republic were elected to Czech Bar Association bodies

Partners of act Řanda Havel Legal and representatives of the Moderní advokacie platform, Martin Řanda, Jan Havel and Tomáš Rydvan, were successful in elections to association bodies that were held at the 8th congress of the CBA on 22 October 2021 at the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague.

In the elections, which a total of 2,397 attorneys took part in, Martin Řanda and Jan Havel were elected members of the disciplinary commission, Tomáš Rydvan a member of the supervisory commission. Martin Řanda and Tomáš Rydvan are therefore extending their time in association bodies for another four years, Jan Havel was elected a member of the disciplinary commission for the first time.

What is the aim of the Moderní advokacie platform? Through its representatives in elected Czech Bar Association bodies, Moderní advokacie pushes for public administration in the legal profession to be performed by the Czech Bar Association, as an apolitical, independent and self-governing professional organisation that ensures a modern regulatory framework for the performance of legal work, defends the independent position of attorneys and supports the right to legal aid. Jan Havel spoke at DISTRICT HEATING AND ENERGY DAYS 2021

Mgr. Ing. Jan Havel, an expert in Energy law and a Senior Partner at act legal Czech Republic (act Řanda Havel Legal), spoke at the 27th edition of the conference with accompanying exhibition The District Heating and Energy Days that was hold in Olomouc on September 14th – 15th 2021.

Jan Havel presented his contribution „New Legislation of Disconnection from the District Heating Supplies System: Can district heating plants still (manage to)defend themselves against disconnection? “. He followed up on his last year’s contribution about the study on Building Authorities Practice in Decisions on Applications of Disconnection from the District Heating Supplies System. Jan Havel focused on new legal rules for disconnection from the district heating supplies system which become effective in part from January 1, 2022 and in part from July 1, 2023. 

Further, the conference participants met the hottest novelties, innovations and other attractive topics induced by the turbulent development in the Czech and European energetics. This important event welcomed representatives of district heating plants, technological companies, municipalities, housing co-operatives or association of owners.
