What we do

act legal advises national and international companies, private equity investors and family offices. We cover the full spectrum of employment law – from day-to-day advisory work and complex negotiations with employee representatives through to sophisticated restructuring and transaction matters. Our core areas of practice include the employment law aspects of restructurings and the negotiation of company-level collective agreements, the close intersection of employment law and compliance, and the development and implementation of innovative occupational pension models. Our work is closely integrated into clients' business decision-making processes and focused on delivering practical solutions.

What you will work on

Within our employment law team, you will work on sophisticated mandates, in particular in the context of:

  • Day-to-day employment law advice: the full A–Z of employment law in an operational context.

  • Supporting restructurings and reorganisations: negotiating and concluding reconciliation of interests agreements and social plans, establishing transfer companies, and providing strategic advice on operational change processes.

  • Employment law support for M&A transactions and business transfers (§ 613a of the German Civil Code), including due diligence.

  • Representation before employment courts at all levels of jurisdiction.

  • Negotiating and drafting managing director and board-level contracts, severance negotiations, and mutual termination agreements.

  • Drafting and negotiating collective agreements and works agreements, designing and implementing flexible working and working-time models, and conducting negotiations with works councils and trade unions.

  • Employment law compliance: developing, implementing and continuously updating employment law policies and internal compliance systems, and advising at the interface with HR processes and regulatory requirements.

  • Data protection advice relating to the processing of employee data, the introduction of monitoring systems, and the handling of employee data in restructuring and transaction contexts.

  • Advising on cross-border employment relationships and international employment law, including in close collaboration with our further European offices.


Your profile

  • 2–3 years of experience in employment law

  • openness to working with AI-supported tools and legal tech solutions

  • good understanding of business and commercial contexts

  • structured, independent and client-focused working style

Applications from lawyers at an earlier stage of their careers are also welcome if they have a clear interest in litigation and fraud matters and wish to develop their expertise in this field
