The coronavirus crisis has upset the global economic order and Germany is also heading for difficult economic times. Under the pressure of the coronavirus crisis and the looming recession, however, taboos can now be called into question and cemented structures can be broken up.
This includes, for example, holding on to traditional but weak-growth business areas or to in-house services that can be better outsourced to external partners based on cost-benefit considerations; often it is the crisis that provides the impetus to implement long overdue measures.
