English speaking contracts – read, understand, negotiate | basic knowledge for your daily work
In nearly all international transactions, contracts are drafted and negotiated in English. Increasingly, however, contracts in Germany are also being concluded in English. Understanding, processing and negotiating such contracts is particularly demanding because English technical terms are used, several legal systems are involved and the enforcement of claims abroad must be ensured. In this seminar you will learn the basics of contract law in international contracts. Using model contracts, the most frequent clauses will be explained to you. Thus, you will be able to successfully negotiate English-language contracts. Use the introduction to this subject matter to conclude contracts well and at eye level.
