Addtech expands electrification business with Ramme Electric

Addtech´s Electrification business area is expanding its position in electric drivetrains through the acquisition of RAMME Electric Machines GmbH, a German manufacturer of electric motors and generators for maritime electrification. The company focuses on propulsion systems, dynamic positioning and hybrid operation for specialized vessels and primarily serves European OEM manufacturers and system integrators. RAMME is headquartered in Osterwieck, Germany, employs around 156 people and generates annual revenues of approximately EUR 38 million. Addtech AB, a Sweden-listed technical solutions group with around 4,500 employees across more than 150 subsidiaries, operates in selected niches for advanced technology products and solutions, creating technological and economic value added between manufacturers and customers, particularly in manufacturing and infrastructure sectors. Completion of the transaction remains subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities.
