Łukasz Polak specializes in a broadly defined commercial law. His practice focuses on the field of capital markets, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions as well as regulatory matters concerning brokerage houses, investment funds and public companies. He has experience in the field of e-commerce as well as in-depth expertise of the financial services market in Poland. Łukasz has advised major Polish companies and financial institutions on M&A projects, in particular transformations, mergers – including cross-border mergers – and acquisition transactions involving private companies and national payment institutions. Additionally, his experience includes advisory on due diligence processes of startups, mainly in fin-tech, transportation and medical sectors. He is also engaged in provision of comprehensive day-to-day legal consultancy for various entities, in particular public companies. Moreover, he has represented clients in numerous proceedings before the Polish Financial Supervision Authority as well as in courts of law, acting on behalf of brokerage houses, banks, investment fund companies, and other financial market participants.
