act legal Poland advises on sale of Olivia Star to STRABAG group company

We are pleased to announce that act legal Poland had the honour of participating in one of this year’s greatest transactions on the Polish commercial property market (and the largest in the history of Polish regional cities involving a single office building): the sale of 100% of the shares in the company owning the Olivia Star skyscraper in Gdańsk, one of the most recognisable office buildings in Poland, to a company within the STRABAG group.
The 180-metre-high Olivia Star skyscraper is not only the tallest building in northern Poland and a permanent feature of Gdańsk’s skyline, but above all the centrepiece of one of the most extensive office complexes in the CEE region– Olivia Centre.
The multi-dimensional nature and sophistication of the project meant that the success of the transaction depended not only on legal precision but also on experience in effective management of comparable processes, as well as a business understanding of the interests of both the Buyer and the Seller, taking into account the relationship between the acquired company and the consortium of financing banks, its bondholders and the owners of neighbouring buildings within the Olivia Centre complex.
Therefore, we are pleased to introduce our teams, who advised the Buyer and contributed to the success of the transaction:
