act legal Romania tech + digital team reconfirms its experience, thus strengthening its position as a strong player in the legal sector dedicated to start-ups and venture capital funds.

This time, the firm assisted French VC fund Axeleo Capital, acting as lead investor, in the seed funding round whereby Bright Spaces raised EUR 1.5m. Other investors included two VC funds (Pi Labs from UK and Sparking Capital from Romania), as well as several angel investors.

act legal Romania assisted Axeleo Capital in the due diligence process as well as in the drafting and negotiation of the transaction documentation, with a team of lawyers that included Ștefan Botezatu (Managing Partner) and Andrei Hâncu (Of Counsel).

Mathias Flattin, Partner at Axeleo Capital, commented: “I believe we made a good decision reaching out to act legal Romania. They know how VC model works, so they were able to anticipate our needs and explain smoothly to third parties why some points were important to us. It made the drafting and negotiating of transaction documents more efficient – and this is exactly what investors seek in a law firm!”

Bright Spaces has been founded in 2019 by Bogdan-Adrian Nicoara and Ionut-Andrei Constantin, together with business advisors and a team of engineers, quickly becoming one of the most successful prop-tech start-ups in Romania. The Company develops an advanced digital leasing environment for landlords, agents, and tenants, including a 3D virtual staging tool for online tours that resemble live visits and provide the opportunity to interact with multiple fit-out proposals.
