BGPartner becomes act legal: Swiss business law firm joins act legal

To continue meeting the changing demands of legal advice in an increasingly international, digitalised and interconnected business environment, the Swiss business law firm BGPartner will join act legal on 1 October 2026 and will henceforth operate under the name act legal.

“As part of act legal, Europe’s legal powerhouse with a presence in 20 jurisdictions and more than 400 lawyers, we will combine our local Swiss legal and market knowledge with a strong European presence. This will provide our clients with additional firepower, in-depth specialist expertise and seamless cross-border advice from a single source,” says Elena Mégevand, CEO of BGPartner.

As a Swiss law firm, we remain legally and financially independent and retain full entrepreneurial autonomy,” says Oliver Gnehm, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BGPartner.

A further change concerns the Zurich office: The firm moved into its new premises in the fully restored «Alte Rentenanstalt» building at General-Guisan-Quai 38 in Zurich. The new office is located not far from its previous location.
