Representatives of act legal Slovakia, Milan Malata and Robert Pružinský, participated in the expert conference DOMA ´26 focused on affordable and socially beneficial housing, held on 17 February in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The conference brought together distinguished international participants, including Dan Jørgensen, EU Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Karel Havlíček, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Zuzana Mrázová, Minister for Regional Development of the Czech Republic, as well as representatives of the European Commission, the European Investment Bank and government institutions.

Affordable Housing as a Matter of Legal Certainty and Investment Stability

The expert discussions focused on legislative frameworks, financing and investment models for rental housing across Europe. It was repeatedly emphasised that affordable housing can no longer be perceived solely as an instrument of social policy. It is a matter with a direct impact on the investment environment, the development of capital markets and the long-term stability of regulatory frameworks.

Slovakia is currently considered one of the leaders in the CEE region in terms of the legislative framework for rental housing. The topic is of strategic importance not only from a social policy perspective, but also in terms of investment stability and legal predictability.
